Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

The last couple of months have been one of major transition for myself. Having recently graduated from College I made a major move across the country to begin working for a new company. Over the weeks and months there have been a number of challenges that have arisen, but for me the hardest part was being away from the game. My time apart was also a little bit of a transition. My first couple of days I was incredibly concerned with how the Alliance would raid, the next few days it was just nice to be away for a little and then the final and continued feeling was that of wishing to return.

Last week I had access to play again on Sunday and we traveled to Maldrath’s Majestic Mansion. This week I’ve been able to play all week and it has been an incredible experience. I certainly will never be known as an individual that comes across as caring nor overly kind. Yet I can say this with absolute fervor – I love this Guild. I love this Alliance. There are so many reasons to love it, and so very few to dislike it. The thing that I love most about it are some of the transformation that take place within our players.

As any honest raiding guild will tell you, we get our fair share of players that are inexperienced and at times a liablity to raiding. Over the weeks and months you hope to change how they play their character and even how they think about the game itself. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. I’d like to think we have a pretty good success rate, and there is no greater reward then to see that in action.

After a couple weeks break of working on Dr. Brinda Sprockets we came back and got to work. It took us a day to get familiar with the event again. It took another day to fine tune it and get the win. Overall not bad for a couple of days of work.

Qita sadly was missing from the picture so I promised I’d put her in.
